Change the Conversation – Introductory Course

The Introductory course is an intensive one-hour self-paced learning version of Change the Conversation. (It comprises the first of 3 sections of the Foundations course.)

As well as introducing essential concepts of preparing for safe and productive conversations, the Introductory course includes a practical case illustration and tips for application.

The course can be supported with discussion sessions or workshops, and is available in versions for General Business, Healthcare and Lawyers.

Participants will learn about:

  • Dialogue as a different form of conversation to ordinary discussions for exploring uncomfortable topics

  • Three default behaviours that limit our ability to get ‘underneath’ issues

  • A structure to aid in preparing for, and engaging in, virtually any uncomfortable conversation

  • Practical ideas to help boost their success with uncomfortable conversations

Change the Conversation, Introductory, can be run as a standalone offering or combined with facilitated discussions (which can be run internally) or workshops.

The course is an ideal way to help busy managers and professionals get started in their practice of engaging with others safely and constructively for better outcomes.
